The German-Russian Museum in Karlshorst offers history buffs an insight into the time of World War II and the German-Russian relations. The museum is located on the former Soviet Army Command in East Berlin, in the main building the German army surrender was signed on 8 May 1945.
The second unique museum in Lichtenberg is the "Stasi" museum. Here you can view spy equipment of GDR spies as well as original Stasi files.
There are also many cafes, restaurants, shopping malls and boutiques in Lichtenberg, so you do not always have to drive into the city center for shopping or nightlife.
